HAPPY PANCAKE DAY FROM THE SUPER FOOD FIGHT

Hello,

It's Pancake Day and we'd love to share some ideas on what to add to your pancake to give it a healthy balance? Do you prefer Sweet or Savoury? Healthy eating is on the menu today at our house. Here are some ideas to think about - they add some welcome goodness to your plate!

SUPER SWEET STRAWBERRIES

Strawberries include essential nutrients. These include vitamin C, folate, potassium, manganese, dietary fibre, and magnesium. A super sweet mix of goodness!

Instead of jam go for the whole fruit and enjoy the natural sweetness!

NUTS AND BERRIES

Although specific healthy foods often grab our attention, all foods actually provide us with at least one or more nutrients (calories, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and/or water).

Each of the six nutrients plays a specific and crucial role in the body and must be obtained from food.

Fruit and nuts offer an excellent opportunity to boost these levels so try some new varieties with your pancakes today and feel the benefit in your body.

FRUIT COCKTAIL

Add a vitamin C boost by including an assortment of fresh tropical fruits and include some super nutrient rich options like kiwi, orange segments, apples chunks (pre-cooked work well).

It's a great opportunity to add fruits you may not usually think of if you prefer the sweet taste on pancakes.

BANANA BARRELS

Try wrapping your pancakes around a whole banana and honey - add some maple syrup and a sprig of mint to have a melt in the mouth combination.

Wonderfully sweet with firm and creamy flesh. Have you met our Hannah Banana super strong super food yet.

Bananas are a super source of both vitamins and minerals, as well as fibre.

Whatever you add to your pancakes enjoy every mouthful!
